Welcome to Smiths Station and Phenix City Psychological (SSPCP), a private practice with providers assisting clients with a variety of concerns across the lifespan. We were first established by Dr. Paul Guinane and have been practicing in the Smiths Station/Phenix City area for 10 years. Currently, the office is owned and run by Dr. Eric Bloch and his wife, Nikki Bloch who serves as the office manager. SSPCP is a proud part of the local community and work frequently with the school system, law enforcement agencies, local government, and Fort Benning. We work hard for the improvement of our community and its residents.
We believe that many problems in life occur when people are not able to live and behave in ways that are consistent with their core values. During periods of inconsistency, individuals can experience depression, anxiety, isolation, physical health problems, and grief. Our approach consists of a combination of diagnosis and evidence-based treatments which help bring consistency between a person’s life and their values. When someone experiences balance in their lives, they experience improved enjoyment and happiness.
Generally session times are about an hour long.
